David Marottolo is an active composer, pianist, and organist based out of Connecticut.

As a composer, David’s works have been premiered throughout New England. Notably, their “Elegy” was premiered by the Cuatro Puntos quartet, and “Quintet for clarinet and strings” and “Night Terrors” were premiered by members of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra.

As a solo artist and collaborative pianist, David has appeared in numerous venues across New England. They were the piano accompanist and house band director for Seasons 1-3 of Hartford’s Got Talent, culminating in finale performances at the Bushnell Center for Performing Arts. David is currently the collaborative pianist for the Manchester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale, principal organist for Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Newington, CT, and pianist for the West End Jazz Combo. They are a member of the Hartford AGO and CT-ACDA.

David has music directed or played for productions of The Prom, Legally Blonde, Footloose, Newsies, Godspell, Chicago, R&H’s Cinderella, Forever Plaid, A Chorus Line, Jesus Christ Superstar, FUTURITY, Bright Star, Spring Awakening, Little Shop of Horrors, Into the Woods, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Pippin, and Once Upon a Mattress. They composed and performed original music for the multimedia productions Death’s Brother (A Hair Piece) and Somewhere (something wonderful), both premiered at Trinity College in Hartford, CT.

David has been a collaborative pianist and educator for multiple educational institutions and events, including The Hartt School – University of Hartford, Connecticut College, Trinity College, Wesleyan University, University of Connecticut, CT State Community College Manchester (formerly Manchester Community College), Kingswood Oxford School, Hall High School, The Independent Day School, Hartt Suzuki Institute, and Shoreline Music Festival.

David received their B.A. from Trinity College, Hartford, and studied piano under Margreet Francis and organ under Christopher Houlihan.
